Study Opportunity
Kathleen also offers a unique study opportunity in which a student can come work with Kathleen privately, one-on-one for five days. Students may bring their own horse(s) and also have the opportunity to help Kathleen work with her own or clients’ horses. Horses are available for loan if the student is unable to bring a horse/horses. This is a very unique way to immerse oneself in horses and horsemanship while experiencing a week on a horse training farm from dawn to dusk. Price includes instruction and board for up to two horses and does not include food, transportation and feed for horses. Multiple consecutive days/weeks may be purchased. Pairs of students (couples, friends, relatives, whatever) can be accommodated together. A discount is offered for two students coming to the farm together. Spaces are very limited. E-mail.
Camden is South Carolina's oldest inland city, a small town, and has a huge and thriving horse community. Camden has its own foxhunt, a large steeplechase track, and is home to many dressage and hunter/jumper farms. It has a fabulous English tack shop as well (you can find Kathleen there on rainy days)!! Much of the economy of the town is based on the horse industry in one way or another. To see more about Camden, see their website here.
